“Because of the faithful love of our God in which the rising Sun has come from on high to visit us, to give light to those who live in darkness and the shadow dark as death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.” (Luke 1, 78+79)
This peace of the prophecy of Zecheriah is a gift and an aim of today´s society´s longing. In these sad and dark moments we are experiencing the last weeks, months and years we are seeking for hope, seeking for this light.
But this light is not something we can wait for. It is not something that might arrive, while we are waiting for it. It is us with the advocacy for our convictions, for rightousness and equity, for the health of our societies and environments. It is the work of our everyone´s hands and our active participation that can make this world more shiny.
Don´t wait for the light, be yourself the light!
Let the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord, give us the enlightening for a trustful and hopeful way towards peace in our homes, in our societies and peace on earth.
